Toronto (December 12th 2011) – Cow Over Moon Children’s Theatre, the company that has produced such critically acclaimed Fringe hits as Chicken Licken, Jack Frost and The Gingerbread Guy, returns this holiday season with a unique look at an old tale. The Ant & The Grasshopper will be presented in Toronto at the Pia Bouman Theatre January 4-8 and at the Maja Prentice Theatre in Mississauga on the 14th January 2011.

Loosely based on the Aesop fable, this version of the story features Grazen the Grasshopper and Grant the Ant, two best friends who couldn’t be more different than each other. All Grazen wants to do is have fun whereas Grant would rather just keep busy. Along the way they meet a princess and the muffin man and learn some pretty valuable lessons about balancing work and play.

With live music, singing and break dancing this return to the stage for Cow Over Moon promises to be as entertaining as previous shows with an injection of improvisation and audience participation. Suitable for all ages, this is a family show that everyone can relate to.

Featuring a diverse cast with Cow Over Moon alumni Brian Froud, Canadian Comedy award winner Gene Abella and second city improvisers Nadine D’Joury and Dwayne Wilson.

Directed by Ted Hallet
