Meet the cast of The Ant & The Grasshopper
GENE ABELLA is a Canadian Comedy Award winning improviser/actor/hyphenate. A veteran of numerous Toronto Fringe Festival plays including the recent, ‘P-DALE’, he has performed at The Second City, Bad Dog Theatre Company, The Laugh Resort, Upright Citizen’s Brigade(New York) and The Chicago Improv Festival. He also is a member of the award winning comedy troupe, Asiansploitation(www.asiansploitation.com)You can follow him on Twitter @Thrilipino. Gene would like to thank his family, friends, and especially Amy, for their continued love and support. His biggest fear is being accused of laziness…that and zombies.
NADINE D’JOURY began studying improv at NYC’s Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in 2008 and has since performed around NYC with her improv troupe Macaroni Rascals. Originally from Montreal, Nadine is happy to be back in Canada as a current member of the Second City Conservatory Program in Toronto. She can be seen performing regularly with her musical improv group Opening Night Theatre at the Augusta House.
BRIAN FROUD is from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. There he appeared in plays for The Player’s Guild Of Hamilton, including Lost In Yonkers, for which he received the Best New Talent award. He graduated from The School Of Dramatic Art at The University Of Windsor and The Second City Conservatory Program in Toronto. While at Second City, Brian performed in Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding, Students Rule and The Second City National Touring Company. He has been nominated for 3 Canadian Comedy Awards. Once in 2005 for his one-man show The Wizard Of Coz and again in 2007 for his critically acclaimed one-man show Swiss Family Guy Robinson. Brian currently works as a voice over artist on several animated series including Total Drama Island, Jimmy Two-Shoes, Bakugan, Sidekick and Detentionaire.
DWAYNE WILSON enjoys many different art forms. He is a Parkour artist, a freestyle popper (dance), and also sings and acts. He is an improviser at Second City and really just enjoys performing to make people have a good time and therefore enjoys it himself. He loves being Creative. He used to be very active, loves sports especially boxing. He loves cartoons, japanese animes and video games. He is just a big kid in a man’s body. He loves the environment and people.
